I didn't like my previous job either, so I spent 3 months looking for another one at the beginning of this year and I am very happy with my current job. If you are not happy with what you are doing, you have to make a change. Remember we spend 1/3 of our days working in office and we have to like what we are doing. A good job is not about money, it's about fulfilment.

I've been waiting for many years to be able to switch job because of the green card issue.. Everybody had to go through that period, right? ^_^ If timing is not right, wait patiently and do something at meanwhile for a better future.

MM一定不用愁身份问题吧。很多人虽然极端厌恶自己的工作可还是得坚持，因为受身份的限制。等有了绿卡之类的当然选择范围就大多了。
Even if you don't have green card and hate the current job, you can still do job hunting. H-1 transfer is much easier than applying for a new H-1. I did H-1 transfer twice! My point is, find your long-term goal, and be decisive.
