given the fact she couldn't speak and listen, say, three years ago
i think she has made tremendous amount of progress...
she actually can communicate, even better than
say, 10% of the chinese phd's i have met...
though she has lots of room to improve too

no wonder she got cast in memoirs of geisha
she spent quite some efforts and she has a future...
i like people with a better future (than present)
