IN most of the place of China,1000-2000 can support the family in the rural area and be some pocket money for the parents in the city since they have jobs and salaries.

I guess familes in the rural area are quite poor and we have a workmate here and he is fram rural area too, and he has to support everyone in his family.
His sister's husband is in hospital(cancer, so need surgery fees), his sister's son's tuition( and get friends to help to get admission), his brother is in hospital(suegery fees and living expenses), his brother want to do some business etc etc....well, he has 5 siblings in the rural area.SO I guess it took quite a while to settle people down then after you help them to certain degree then kindly you are not owing them that much any more.
Then you can help them when something happen.

Sometimes for some people from the rural area to get out of there, it took the whole family's sarcrifice to realize it.It may seems they took advantage of their siblings/family at that time to get the chance to live nicely right now.
So if they don't pay back, it will look like WangEnFuYi, plus it is his family and siblings.He can't bear them in the hot water.
