前两天一直在关注OuiCestLaVie的事件，没想到昨天类似的事情落到我头上了，不过比OuiCestLaVie JJ幸运的是，我还在学校没毕业，不会有lay off的事。
事情是这样的。我们系的chair是个很有名，很"nice"的中年妇女。她写的书在中国国内是教课书(但听说是盗版的，她只受权给台湾，有可能由此她对中国的印象不好了)。anyway,她老人家很忙，而且我不归她管，平时和她根本没来往，见了她也是say hi, that is all.昨天在hallway 看到她(两个月内第一次看到)，就say hi 了。她却走上来满面笑容的问我：do you use the computers in computer lab?我说现在很少用，以前那儿打印机没坏时用的比较多( that computer lab is a public place for our department, any graduate student can use it according to the policy on the wall in the lab)。她笑嘻嘻的说：you are the only one from these two labs(she means her lab and my professor's lab) to use that computer lab. It is not a shared resource, only students from the other three labs can use it(she means another three professors in our department, those labs are near the computer lab).我当时就很奇怪，没人和我说过这个policy嘛，难到是新正策？而且她怎么知道我用那儿的计算机？我平时都看不到她。我就说：好，知道了。
后来我想想就生气了，我要问个明白，于是就写信告诉我老板，问她是不是有这个新政策？我老板今天一看我的信大动肝火，说根本没改政策，说她要report to the dean。我们系的graduate chair听我老板说了也很惊讶，说chair应该向我道歉.我倒还好，就是想不通我那里得罪她了，或者昨天她totally out space?太奇怪了。但我隐约觉得她和我老板可能有矛盾，把气出在我身上吧。
老板明天告诉我进展。我不怕她(my work is totally unrelated to her, and she is not my committee),但我觉得以后碰到她很尴尬，我以前还是很喜欢她的。亥！
