It will surely have influence on the average credit length, if you decide to cancel some of the credit cards. But the credit score is determined not only on the average credit length. Number of the standing accounts, available balance, your payment history, etc. also play big roles in your credit score. Have everything considered, I don't think closing some of the unnecessary accounts will have negative impact on the score.
