401k matching question

Suppose the company match 7% (of the salary), to take advantage of the
matching, obviously put in 7%. The question is, to achieve that, do I have
to put in 7% for every paycheck? Can I put say 14% of every paycheck the
first half year to get the company's 7% for the whole year?

So, you are saying the matching is all 'local to every paycheck', can't
be according  against the my contribution annually? Just for example,
if my 7% of annual salary happens to be 15000, and I can put 15000
in 401k the first month, but, the company won't be matching 15000
the first month, instead it can only match 7% of my first month's paycheck
which is 15000/7%/12*7%=1250.

Am I right? Thaks

so i can't contribute $466.67*2=$933.34 per month for
the first 6 months and expect the employer to do the same?
because they still can only contribute $466.67 per month?

Thanks for the info, that's very interesting to know. I concluded that
company are all doing match based on each paycheck before your
post.
