“开”是什么意思？你说过这些钱是从traditional ira convert过去的，不是直接放进去的，对不对？我不知道TurboTax问你什么；但是如果他问你有没有contribute进去你的Roth，答案应该是没有，因为是convert的。

 为什么他们会问你“Explain your Recharacterization”呢？你没有做recharacterization啊。是不是他们软件有问题。有没有turbotax的网上求助？

不是。很不同。recharacterization是用来undo以前做的东西。譬如我错误放traditional，想把它当从开始都是roth；或者错误放roth，想把它当从开始都是traditional；或者错误convert了，想把它当没有发生。如果你recharacterize从traditional到roth，那就和你放roth一样；但是你不可以放roth，所以不行。conversion是把traditional变成roth的，但是不改变以前是traditional的。
