土人我不懂这个和共产主义有什么关系
俺也在苦思冥想。等待lzmm解释一下。
街上也不是所有的都能争很多钱吧，我总是觉得IB和TRADER赚钱多，但一般的ANALYST，还有QUANTA之类的，我上次看H１的那个网，BASE，ANALSYT连１０万都不到，７，８万的样子，矿特也是１０万左右，就算加１００％的BONUS，也没有多少啊，而且还在NYC生活。
是不是我MISS了SOMETHING？
10万年薪+100%bonus 已经比很多人收入高了。。。
By working 12+ hour/day......
most of faculty work more hrs than that but only get a small fraction of that ....
any job has a market price...it the perceived value of that job. it is not about work hours. some busboys work 12 hours/day too.
I agree with you actually, I just use that as an example to show that more working hrs doesn't necessary lead to higher pay....
And by the way, bus drivers can actually earn more than a entry level faculty if they work more than 12 hrs.

Busboys or busgirls or S.A. , increasingly referred to as bussers, work in the restaurant and catering industry clearing dirty dishes, taking the dirty dishes to the dishwasher, setting tables, and otherwise assisting the waiting staff.
Thanks for explaining the term. Anyway, this is just another example showing that more working hrs doesn't mean more income, right?

architects are the most underpaid IMHO. I truly respect them.
It is not true in China though. Designers earn alot over there.
the context is the US lah. the compensation in China is also going down though=(.btw you are an architect right?
I am not. If i am an archiect, I won't stay here in the U.S. And appearently you know why. I was shocked that when i realize how low salary architects get in the U.S. Architects' salary ranks much higher among all majors in China.

每个人package不一样，能拿double pay是运气好。惨的人多呢，offer被revoke的，身份问题被迫回国的，找不到下家的。这年头，有工作就是幸福~
是的，其实苦的都是下面的员工，上面的，就算被laidoff没了工作，以前攒下的早就够他们退休的了。
