if you hold your espp less than 2 yrs(if I am right), then you won't get any tax benefit from it, the money you made will be treated exactly as short-term investment.

The cost base doesn't include commission fee.

W-2 form shouldn't have any information about your espp(if the money is post-tax, I assume espp is post-tax money)
