FML is fuorometholone, a weak steroid eye drop. It should be used with caution. Long term side effects include increase of eye pressure or even glaucoma and cataract, etc.

Recommend use it less than 6 wks duration.

Restasis is cyclosporine, an immunosuppressant. This is the only drop claimed to " help you produce more tears". Usually it does not work right away and takes at least several months to work.
