This is the worst time to transfer your money into the reserve account, if you are still at least a decade away from retirement.
Reserve account usually is like a savings account, with minimal return on the principal. If you move the money out now, then you are selling low. And when you move the money back into your stocks and mutual funds, then you are buying high. You will miss out on the gains from the market recovery.
Best thing to do is to make sure your investments are diversified, then sit tight and wait until the storm is over. For diversification mix, you can get loads of advice from magazines like Money.
My personal diversification mix is 40% US Stock, 35% Int'l stock, 20% REIT, and 5% Bond. Mostly index funds.
但你想过会不会跌得越来越低呢,然后在更低的时候买进呢
到底了
