I attended a lecture on immigration policies a few days ago. The professor was famous in immigration issues and he was kind of progressive. It didn't sound very convincing to me, but the professor presented many reasons why the government should have not granted so many "guest worker" visas.

And he believed that the Government would make great changes in immigration policies in the forthcoming months, when the hurrican troubles were taken care of.
