This really depends. Even if you have a good dental insurance here, you still need to pay a fair amount of money (several hundred? I am sorry I don't know the exact number.). Is this an esthetic need or you already have had the root canal therapy? I am not familiar with how they do this here, but the quality should be fine.

If you go back to China to do it, the price still varies between different areas. I would say probably from 800-1500 Chinese dollars (I left so long ago, probably this is not the actual case now). But you need find a good place.

It's better to find someone who have had this kind of experience here and you can even ask him/her to recommend the dentist for you.
