Talk to your dentist more about your concerns. The food impaction after crown lengthening could be a potential problem but after the implant is done, a crown is still needed and good cleaning is also a must. If you already decide to choose implant, make sure that the oral surgeon/periodontist who will extract the tooth knows that you plan to get an implant there and he/she will save as much bone as posiible during the extraction.

If you have implant and crown done, it should look like a normal tooth from outside. When I said good cleaning, it just means the regular brushing and flossing. Sorry for the confusion. The crown will be cemented to the abutment and no worry for the flossing.
