One thing I was curious is when the credit card company sent out the new card, it has to be actived by calling the 800 number from the home phone number.  How could it be actived if someone else stole it without knowing your home phone number?

From this incident, I believe we all learned a lesson.  It's not a bad idea to check the balance online once in a while, even on a daily basis.
