I got the same letter. It says:

In the past, you may have earned 5 points on purchases made at superstrores, warehouse, clubs, and discount stores. Since these merchants are not recognized as gas stations, stand alone grocery stores, and drug stores, purchases made at these stores will now qualify to earn 1 point per $1 spent instead of 5 points per $1 spent.
