I had similar experience from chase credit card. I only paid for those amounts that I truly expended and the rest is reported to their dispute center and I did not pay for those that someone else expended. It took a long time to finally get my money back. It is their responsibility to handle the issue. You might want to call and argue with them. Good luck.
