That's not correct. No matter whether you have an existing account, you can always get the 4.1% rate if you open CD online. I have a couple of other account (checking, saving) with BOA, and still got the rate. And it is so much easier to fund CD because I simply transfered the money from my BOA checking account and it takes seconds to have it done.by the way, this is only applied to those money which are currently "outside" boa.

I never got confirmation mail. But my OLB account showed the new CD within two business days. That's what matters. You just need to check your OLB account and see if it shows up there. Email confirmation is not always timely..
