Wrong. Medicaid is based on each state. I live in GA, the basic eligibility is

1. You think you are pregnant
2. You are a child or teenager
3. Your are age 65 or older
4. You are legally blind
5. you have a disability (I don't think he qualify for disability since he/she is recovered)
6. You need nursing home care.

So he/she doens't qualify for medicaid for the state of Georgia and I belive many states are like GA.
