首先说, 都是higher risk, higher return的那种(hopefuly higher return, hehe. )
PRLAX: T. Rowe Price Latin America.
Its fund manager is reported to be pretty good. Focus on Brazil and Mesico. Heavy on industrial materials, energy, finance and consumer service. Brazil I am not sure, but from those Mexicans around me, I think Mexico is still very promising even after mad run in recent years).
PRASX: T. Rowe Price New Asia. Not as good as category in 2006. Focus on India, Hong Kong, South Korea, and some on Taiwan (I like these places). Heavy on Finance, consumer goods, business services.
TREMX: T Rowe Price Em Eur MEditerranean. Focus on Russian Federation, Egypt, Turkey and UK. Heavy on Energy and finance. (I like the Russian part most, other Russian funds are not so convenient in my mind.
这几个都是很concentrated 的MF. 有什么看法不? (I hold a little PRLAX for some time now)

PS: these 3 have no load, about 1.2-1.8% exp ratio, 90 day trade or 2%.
-----------
Edit: save the price of them, as year end of 2006.
as of: 12/29/2006, before the first market open day in 2007.
PRLAX: 37.74
PRASX: 14.21
TREMX: 32.44
Let's wait and see after some days (MF is long time though).

偶的FIDELITY都要手续费,MM哪里开的户
哪个MM呀?
I had a account with T. Rowe Price directly (plan to add more $ in it this year), so that I do not need to pay the transaction fee.
Usually, buy the company's own MF has no transaction fee.

bought FLATX 12/06/2005 at $32, it's $44 now YTD return is 39%
Also bought PRLAX 11/29/2004 at $14, it's $37 now YTD return is 160%
I have TDAmeritrade so I do have to pay transaction fee of $50 for buying & selling but for the returns, it's well worth it!
Just open a Bank of America account which offers free trading.
Niu ren ya!
Come to post your MF selection here more often ba.
Can you share, in your mind, what will be the next "hot" area or countries in the coming years?

Is openning an account at T. Rowe Price free?
Most have no fee to open the account.
But they may charge a fee if the value of the account is below certain amount, for example, to charge a 10$ fee per year if the fund is less than 10K, or to charge a maintainess fee 30$ per year, etc.
So my idea is: if you really need it, go ahead and open a account, but donot open it if you do not need it.
You are pretty right. Longer time can reduce risk as well. If I had them for long time, I would not worry that much. hoho.
So actually there is a saying goes like: the newer players usually will have higher risk, since they do not have any accumulated benefits to "burn" yet (plus the lack experience as well).
Anyway, hope the market is good and we can pick the right ones though learn and trial.
