1) global priority mail can reach any city. because when they reach China, the China mail take over the deliever duty.

2) unless in a hurry, just a normal mail should be ok. Lost is not a fear, just make sure when your parents get it, it is not been opened. Do not put any money (or only small amount of money if you need to use it) in your checking account. Only transfer money to your checking account after your parents get the check. Otherwise, even if someone forges the signature and try to take the money, since your account has no money in it (or not enough money in it), they can not get the money.
