Just leave it there. Your saving and checking are all FDIC insured. As long as the government is there, you money is OK. Government will pay for it.  (I think that is why this time, government forced WaMu to fail, they do not want to wait for that day to happen, in order to protect themself. My 2 cents).

Actually (not verified), I hear some people now rush to WaM to open new accounts, in order to take advantage of their 5% CD (very few other banks offer that high rate CD now). In theory, JPM should honor the 5% CD. The worse case is JPM will lower the rate. So now, their CD looks even better than before, from this point of view.
