Two months ago, my landlord raised my rent up to 10%.

 After talked to him, he agreed to reduce it to 6%.

 Is there any law to protect us from the raising rent?

 Say landlord can only raise max 5% once a year?

 I knew Canada had a law to protect tenants,

 but how about here, in USA?
