Really lucky. Besides hard working (and I think most people works hard here), it is all about time and luck. See here, while grauated, can't find a job and stay for 2+ years. And while finally got a job, can't buy a house since the price is too high and since the market may crash because it is too high. And green card is even difficult. And plus some people around you with bad personalities, they are too envy that you have stronger background and abilities than them, and did bad things on you. And you have struggled and struggled.

Then one day you will never belive if you have abilities, you will be success. You believe opportunity is so important...
