Sometimes it is because yo are nervous so it's not coming on time. Many years ago one of my co-workers had the same problem and the doctor gave her medicine too. She didn't take it but after a couple days of seeing doctor, hers comes.

You don't have to take medicine but if you are worried, then you take, won't hurt you.
