One of my friends told me that in TX, people do not pay one of the tax(State tax or Federal tax). Is that true? XIE XIE!

XIE XIE! When you buy cloth or food in store, do you pay the tax? If so, is it very low?

state tax refers to income tax, which is different from the tax that you pay for clothes or food, etc.

I see. So do you mean you still need to pay tax when you buy things in store? I heard that in some state, people do not pay tax when they buy things in store.

in Delaware, there is no sales tax at all. In NJ and PA, no sales tax on clothes. In TX, you still need to pay sales tax, but no state income tax, which is even better if you have a regular job.
