My advisor invited me for a brunch w/ his family. I am the only person invited coz I am his only RA. I am thinking about bringing something. I will be graduting this year, so I want to give him something special. My advisor is an American white. If I give him something from China, say a big Chiense man-made embroidery picture, would that be appropriate? Would he feel uncomfortable w/ this? (I suppose Americans usually take small gift; but I am not sure what kind of wine or beers he likes).

Any advices?
