That's why it's a good practice to go online and check the latest transactions, preferably on a daily basis.  That way you can report any suspicious items to the credit card company right away, and the right action can be carried on.

recently, i sometimes receive phone calls from citicards to verify transactions in my card. but i don't remember if i got phone calls regarding those fraud transactions, or that might be the first time I got such phone calls and just hang up.

but it is somewhat annoying too, even my grocery shopping will be asked and verified, and even Mcdonald's. When I asked them, they say, they have such automatic calls whenever they see an unusual transactions. but don't know what is unusual, i do grocery shopping every week.
