I tried to open checking account and saving account with Citibank almost a month ago. They need a lot of paperwork from me with my inital deposit check. Finally, I can log online and found out they put all my deposit in the checking account with no interest. When I tried to transfer the money into saving account with 4.88% interest now (it was 5% a month ago), it didn't allow me to do so. I called the customer service and they said they need more paperwork such as phone bill copy and credit card statement copy. I guess when I submit all the paperwork, the rate will go down again. I start disliking Citibank and think they are the most piggy bank.
