02年来美， 07年的税打算按照resident 报，问题是学校没有扣social security, medicare tax, 需要补交吗？
if you file as a resident, your ssn and medi taxes are waived as long as you registered as a full time student. however, if you dont register for any credit hours during summer sestion, your income during that period of time is subject to ssn and medi taxes.

there are certain restrictions on the income source and you shall be able to find them by googling.
