请问MM, 这两个是什么东东啊? 是公元之类的吗?

longwood garden就是杜帮花园，类似植物园，很多花草，很大很漂亮，要玩半天的样子，夏天的晚上有音乐喷泉。
amish country就是amish聚居地，那里的人不用任何现代话的东西。
其它的景点在费城，liberty bell为中心的一块儿，很集中。
再远点就是两个小时到atlantic city和new jersey的beach了。

请问MM, 这两个是什么东东啊? 是公元之类的吗?

Philadelphia is a good place to visit if you love arts, culture and history, is not if you like to see fancy things. Philly is no fancy. :-)

Some places to visit, in addition to those have already been mentioned:
1. South Street, like French Quarter in New Orleans. A must visit you like night life. Some good gay bars out there...
2. Rodin Museum. It has one of the best collections of Rodin's sculptures. It is just minutes away from Philadelphia Museum of Arts.
3. Museum of Arts. In Ben Franklin Parkway. One of the top five fine arts museums in the country.
4. Philadelphia Orchestra and the Kimmel Center. One of the most famous Orchestras in the world. Ticket not always available. You can get discount if you have student id...
5. Old City, tons of art galleries.


These are things I can come up right now. You do not need a car to visit the vanues inside the city. However if you would like to go to places like King of Prussia, Longwood Garden or Lancaster Country, you do need to get a car.

amish people are so-called Pennsylvanian Dutch, but they are German. Have you seen the movie, the witness, in which harrison ford saved the boy and had a love story with the boy's mother? All happened in the amish community.

Monica先说自己是Dutch，后后来又不会说Dutch，就说自己是Pennsylvanian Dutch!!!
