en, persoanlly, i think sourthern exposure is better. Energy saving! western exposure will make the room very hot, especially in summer. However, it will be an advantage in Winter if you are in North.

这个坐北朝南我到现在还是没有搞清楚到底是门朝北呢，还是backyard朝北，如果门朝北，那么family room,kitchen等等很多主要活动地方的窗子就朝南的多,反之，就是living room 和dinning room 朝南，backyard朝北。

直接一点就是主要活动区域朝南好还是门朝南好？
