I personally prefer American-trained doctors, because I didn't find any communication problems, and they have better network in terms of referrals.

It is your judgement call. Communication is the most important. If you feel more at ease to talk about your physical conditions in Chinese, there is nothing wrong with a Chinese doctor. :)
