the definition of "points" is P145
You cannot deduct "broker origination fee " and "lender origination fee" and " transfer tax", please check P143 and P144.

Sometimes lenders like to creat different names on the fees. I am not
sure if " Lender origination fee " is the same as "loan origination
fee" or some other calculations...
The quickiest way to find out how much points you paid is a statement you should have received from your lender. It is Form 1098 Mortgage Interest Statement. The statement for you is "copy B for payer" (A goes to IRS, C goes to lender..)
On this statement , box 1 is the mortgage insterest. box 2 is "points paid on purchase oof principal residence" . This is the number(and the correct number ) you will be able to claim ...
