sigh, finally, i experienced credit card fraud too.
I was about to pay my citi card online and checked the statement, and saw 4 transcations strange, not familiar. I called CS and was transfered to fraud department. The lady told me there were a few transactions yesterday (sunday), at some shoe store(or online shoe store?). But i didn't use my credit card at all yesterday. these transactions have not be put to my statement, but there were already a few fraud on the statement.
The lady told me she would close my account and send me a new credit card with some form to fill in.
Hope everything will be ok.
recently, i sometimes receive phone calls from citicards to verify transactions in my card. but i don't remember if i got phone calls regarding those fraud transactions, or that might be the first time I got such phone calls and just hang up.
but it is somewhat annoying too, even my grocery shopping will be asked and verified, and even Mcdonald's. When I asked them, they say, they have such automatic calls whenever they see an unusual transactions. but don't know what is unusual, i do grocery shopping every week.
